based on the Ersatz Fantasia Project, was also a large-scale installation of over 1000 recycled plastic toys that might otherwise have ended up in landfill. This time the installation took the form of a fantasy garden and was installed along the river in Lorne, VIC.
This work was chosen for the Sculpturescape Category of the Lorne Sculpture Biennale 2016.
Sculpturscape, the only such event in Australia and possibly globally, comprises four artists/artist teams, a total of 17 artists on display over all four weekends of the exhibition, each creating a sculptural piece over two days. The audience will see real-time creativity and engage with the process and the artists over the duration of the project. The brief will be about responding directly to the Lorne environment, utilising sites such as water, sand, rocks and lawn along the trail.
